First national Rett syndrome awareness campaign is conducted.<\/p>\n

1996<\/h3>\n

Representation at the World Congress on Rett Syndrome in Sweden.<\/p>\n

1997<\/h3>\n

Tax deductibility granted by the Australian Taxation Office;
\nCanberra has its family gathering.<\/p>\n

1998<\/h3>\n

An RSAA email address established;
\nSecond reprint of brochure;
\nAllocation of an Australian Business Number (ABN).<\/p>\n

1999<\/h3>\n

Acquisition and distribution of the first edition of the publication ‘The Rett Syndrome
\nHandbook’.<\/p>\n

2002<\/h3>\n

Member of the ‘Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research’.<\/p>\n

Partner in the establishment of the ‘Better Health Chanel’ internet facility.<\/p>\n

Limited distribution of the 2nd edition of the publication ‘The Rett Syndrome Handbook’.<\/p>\n

Order of Australia Medal awarded to Bill Callaghan, RSAA President;
\nRepresentation at the World Congress on Rett Syndrome in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

2013<\/h3>\n

Work commences on the RSAA web site;
\nRepresentation at the 3rd European Conference on Rett Syndrome in Maastricht.<\/p>\n

2014<\/h3>\n

RSAA turned 25 years old in July;
\nRepresentation at the Rett New Zealand conference which was held in Auckland.<\/p>\n

2015<\/h3>\n

RSAA stages its first national conference in November;
\nRSAA Committee now includes at least one member from each State;
\nAs at December 2015, the number of Australian Rett syndrome families with whom the Association had established contact since its formation, was 399.<\/p>\n

2016<\/h3>\n

Representation at the World Congress on Rett Syndrome (Kazan, Russia), Rett New Zealand’s bi-annual conference (Auckland) and the RTT50.1 conference in Vienna, Australia.
